Nurse Maude A Meaningful Tale A Children’s Tale of Kindness

About the Tale

This Tale is a short and whimsical storybook, which is based on a true story of a wonderful Nurse who was instrumental in the founding of the District Nursing Association in New Zealand. Historical and actual true events that occurred in Nurse Maude’s life are portrayed throughout this story. The reader will feel the kindness of this young girl, and be captivated by a gentle butterfly (fictitious character), and Gyp (true character) her Border Collie dog and friend, who became her constant travel companions on her journeys. This reader is suited for all school ages, primary, intermediate or anyone who enjoys a light-hearted true and meaningful Tale about kindness.

Money Mouse - Economic and Management Sciences Primary Phase

Meet Money Mouse, a frugal and adventurous mouse who shows his family how to recycle, spend wisely, and also how to have fun while doing this. This workbook contains fun and simple worksheets for the learner, containing storytelling, rhyme, and visual interpretation of goods and services within a social environment. Included in this resource is an interactive fundraising initiative which can be used as a basis for teambuilding and group work. As of the 20 th August 2023 the current Prime Minister of New Zealand, Mr Chris Hipkins, issued a statement saying that, “it’s about making sure that young people understand how to be good with money”, thereby introducing financial literacy into schools in the future. This resource could be used as a financial literacy catalyst whereby teachers could expound on.
